书凌现在人在北京上课。他这次没有带去他视为第二生命的Laptop，因为怕在中国被偷，还有又怕无线上网不多。今天终于收到他大概是从网咔送来的短文一篇:
Dear all,
I'm doing okay over here. The weather has mostly been pretty good; it's hot, but not as humid as Taiwan. Sometimes it gets really dusty, like today and like the first day we got into Beijing. One of the roommates thought we were still very high in the air, and 5 seconds later, we landed.
Tiananmen Square is huge, and the Forbidden City is pretty cool. A lot of the buildings are pretty old, but a lot of them are being renovated already. After a while, the buildings all start looking the same, but many of the side residential palaces have very interesting displays. It's not quite the same as the National Palace Museum in Taipei, but it's pretty cool.
So far, everything should still be on schedule.

看來書凌對中國古文物及建築有興趣喔！多拍些照片回來分享吧！只是如果是自助行，沒有人解說的話，不知看懂否？
我們家在大約1992年去過桂林陽朔與北京，記得桂林真的美，路上的牛大便與鄉村景色令人憶起自己台灣的童年生活，當時有帶老爸一遊的衝動。還有雨後泥濘中的甘蔗只刮除深紫色的外膜，就要我們自行啃除蔗皮食用；也見穿著泛白藍或綠布衣的當地人以腳踏車載著雞籠叫賣自家養的雞隻。
對北京印象是火鍋不是瓦斯也不是酒精煮的，好像是油火，結果我們這鍋的燃油傾倒，火燒起來了，大家驚叫不已；而且有人過生日，買來的蛋糕不蓬鬆，倒像"發粿"。
很遺憾當時未好好欣賞紫禁城(Forbidden City)，因為拖著一位超皮的兒子 - 子釗!僅記得乾隆的書法很美，珍妃井超小，不知她是如何躍入而亡的？天安門(Tiananmen Square)也只記得廣場好大好大，由於天氣非常乾燥產生靜電，子釗到處電人惹人厭呢！還有，一條通的廁所噁心至極，糞便就在屁屁下的通溝中堆積，還要拿傘遮臀呢！尤其圓明園的最臭，美景忘了，居然只記得她的臭，現在應該沒這種景象了吧？倒要問問書凌了。
對了！長城我根本爬不了幾階就投降了，只好在"舊墟"中等候的份兒。不知是否季節不對，我們是農曆年去的，有名的北京水梨不怎麼樣呢！韓國梨就真的好吃！
